WHAT IS VICTORY JAM?

Victory Jam is the Middle School Summer Camp of the Chesapeake Presbytery (PCA). Hosting regional 6th -8th grade students, Victory Jam is centered on the Gospel and fellowship with local churches within the Chesapeake Youth Network (CYN).

Located at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference in New Jersey, this camp is full of exciting activities, church group times, worship, gospel-centered teaching, team competitions, and of course, plenty of time at the beach! All in an effort to challenge middle school students to know Jesus as King and live for Him in all areas of life.

WHAT MAKES VICTORY JAM DIFFERENT?

There are five areas in which we are committed to challenging middle school students at Victory Jam:

  • A challenge to see their need for the Gospel

  • A challenge to receive Christ as their Savior

  • A challenge to know God’s Word as their authority

  • A challenge to live their lives for Him and His kingdom

  • A challenge to live in fellowship with their Christian brothers and sisters.

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our LORD Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the LORD because you know that your labor in the LORD is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:57-58

HOW DID VICTORY JAM BEGIN?

Victory Jam was started almost 30 years ago by a group of youth pastors looking to fill specific needs in their own ministries and to be a resource for smaller churches in what was then, the Potomac Presbytery. Out of the ideas of a few great youth pastors, Victory Jam came to be.

Over the years it has grown and changed in some ways but the vision has remained the same, to be a gospel centered camp for middle school students in the Chesapeake Bay region, challenging students to know Jesus as their King and live their lives for Him. Victory Jam’s vision and mission are upheld by the Victory Jam Planning Team under the oversight of the CYN and the Chesapeake Presbytery.
